GRÖNA TÅGET / 2006

Spring semester 2007 I was accepted as an exchange student at Konstfack, design and art university, in Stockholm. During my studies at Konstfack I learned a lot about industrial design, which was a good addition to what I had learned in the Art Academy.

One of the projects that I worked on during my exchange was a project which was in collaboration with SJ,
Swedens Traintransport and Bombardier, “a world-leading manufacturer of innovative transportation
solutions, from regional aircraſt and business jets to rail transportation equipment, systems and services”.

The goal of that course was to create new and attractive ways to attract customers to SJ’s and Bombardier’s
new train; “Gröna Tåget”. Me and my project partner, Marie Gullander, chose to work on and develop the devices that the onboard conductor has to carry around all day to do his daily routines.

Our goal was to make our products as ergonomical as possible so the look of our products changed a lot during our sketching faze. We made a lot of drawings as well as three dimensional sketching models.
We received a great amount of comments on our models, both from professionals and from impartial sources.

The final products from the course were: a brand new device that we chose to call “Nyckelvisslan”, or Keywhistle and a PalmPilot, developed to meet future standards from ergonomical points of views along with newest technology.
