CHRISTMAS SILVER SPOON 2008 / 2008
In the spring of 2008, Ásgeir Reynisson; owner of Erna, asked me to design the annual christmas silver spoon that the company makes every year. They have been making these Christmas spoons since 1936 with new and different handles for every year.
For this design I chose not to use any religious symbols, like has been done for the past few years. Instead I drew up a very simple and illustrative motive of pine branches and cranberries.
From the 15th of November 2008 - 1st of February 2009 the Christmas spoon is displayed at the National Design Museum in Garðabær, Iceland.
Available for purchase at Erna store, Skipholt 3, Reykjavík.
