BERRYBOMB / 2008
The Berrybomb was designed in a course runned by Laurene Boym. The aim was to design a new candy product within the limits of the factory of Nói Síríus. Students were also asked to have in mind that the product could be exported outside of the Icelandic market to be sold in Whole Food Markets in the USA.
The chocolate delicacy is a candy bomb, built in three layers with a new surprising taste in every bite.
Surprisingly different ingredients are used to create a unique experience while enjoying the luxury delicacy.
The first layer, made of dark chocolate and pistachio nuts is crispy and tasty. The second layer, made of dark
chocolate and icelandic licorice is sweet and salty, and finally, the last surprice; a chocolate bomb, filled with fresh and juicy Icelandic blueberries. All the ingredients make a perfect mix, unique and delightful.
Packaging is supposed to imitate the layering characteristic of the candy itself. The candy is wrapped in aluminum foil, typical for Nói Síríus products, and then put in a plastic container which has the product logo and information hanged on with a black chain.
